Love Stories (Memory Lane Improv Nite)
Wednesday, February 12 @ 7:30 pm
| $8 – $10Presented by Memory Lane Playback Troupe
Celebrate Valentine’s Day with a special evening of improvisational theater, where audience members can share their stories and see them brought to life on stage! Experience the art of Playback Theater in a show that can never be repeated.
Playback Theater is a funny, thought-provoking, and cathartic evening of storytelling and improvisational theatre. It relies on the audience and their memories. Patrons are prompted to reflect and voluntarily share their stories related to a particular theme, whether they be happy, sad, or anywhere in between. The talented actors in Memory Lane will then stage the tale on the spot through a variety of improvisational scenes. It’s an interactive, communal experience that will make you laugh, cry, and remember!
Memory Lane, Carroll County’s Playback Theatre Company, joins a tradition developed in 1975 when Jonathan Fox and Jo Salas founded the first improvisational acting company in New York. Playback is spontaneous theatre making created by actor, audience, and most importantly, story. This group meets every other Tuesday and are always looking for actors who are over 21 years of age to join.
