General & Special Events Volunteering

We rely on volunteers to make a difference! The majority of our volunteer needs are for scanning tickets or concession sales on evenings and weekends. Volunteers who assist at these events will get free admission to that event and a free snack along with a non-alcoholic beverage.

A large number of volunteers are also needed for special events such as Art in the Park, Festival of Wreaths, and the PEEPshow. Occasionally, we also need help with stuffing envelopes for mailings and other administrative duties.

Volunteers are trained onsite, so if this is your first time volunteering please arrive 15-30 minutes earlier than your scheduled time slot to receive instructions.

Want to volunteer at our film screenings? Become a member of our Film Lovers in Carroll County club (FLICC)!
This club of movie lovers select the monthly films screened at the Arts Center and volunteer for their events.

Summer Arts Camp Counselors

Students interested in the arts and working with children may apply for counselor positions.

A limited number of positions are available for each camp and there is a required training day. These positions are voluntary but do count for community service. Age requirements for camp counselors vary for different sessions, but most counselors should be at least 13-18 years of age.

Theatre Internships

Interns provide support for the Arts Council’s children’s productions.

Candidates must be professional, self-motivated and reliable. Experience in theatre or working with children is preferred. Positions are voluntary and do not earn school credit, but interns can receive community service hours. Interns will gain leadership skills and practical experience as a result of participation. This internship requires a commitment for the length of the rehearsals and performances, as well as production meetings. Contact Lindsay Sier for more information.
