Call for Submissions
The mission of The Marcia L. Bogash Playwright Festival is to provide local artists with an engaging environment for the development and promotion of new theatrical works in memory of one of Carroll County’s most celebrated arts advocates. On alternating years, the festival will feature plays written by either high school students or members of the community at large.
High School Playwrights Needed
Submissions are wanted for the Carroll County Arts Council’s inaugural Marcia L. Bogash Playwright Festival! This year’s festival is for high school-aged playwrights. This festival will be curated by a selection committee. The selected plays will be performed as staged readings at the Carroll Arts Center. The selected playwrights will not only see their work come to life, but they’ll get the opportunity to workshop their play through a brief rehearsal process. If desired, the playwrights can also get direct feedback from the audience.
