Local Business Competition
It’s like American Idol meets Shark Tank, only it’s LOCAL! The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce is proud to present the 11th annual Carroll Biz Challenge. For the last decade, The Biz Challenge has showcased local entrepreneurs and given them the exciting opportunity to pitch their new business ideas, to make great connections, get loads of publicity, and compete for a $5,000 cash prize plus additional prizes worth thousands more.
This year, in honor of the 10th anniversary of the Biz Challenge, we’re raising the stakes – and one entrepreneur will take home – $10,000!
Steve Lowe, of 127 Creative, event producer and founding-level sponsor, said, “There is nothing like this event. The Carroll Biz Challenge is charged
with energy and electricity. This is the biggest year in terms of applicants and prizes, thanks to great momentum and a great reputation. It’s one of the coolest things to look forward to in Carroll County.”
Mike McMullin, president of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce, said, “Some of our award-winning stars have gone on to become major industry and organizational leaders, and they tell me that their success was amplified through the Carroll Biz Challenge.”
Dozens of entrepreneurs entered and five finalists have been chosen to pitch their ideas before a panel of judges and a live audience. Only one will walk away with the grand prize.
Tickets are sold through the Chamber of Commerce’s website.
