Come celebrate the Carroll Arts Center’s 21st Birthday with the Kelly Bell Band and Bermuda Search Party!

Bermuda Search Party

Since their inception in early 2018, Bermuda Search Party (formerly known as The Q-Tip Bandits) have emerged into the Boston music scene as an energetic and vibrant act that continues to touch audience’s hearts while getting them up on their feet. Their smooth yet powerful sound is backed by the raw energy of rock and the coolness and colors of R&B and funk — with palpable grooves coated with savory, soul-inspired riffs, anthemic horns and meaningful lyrics. In September 2023, the band returned to the studio to record their sophomore LP with Eric Palmquist, known for his work with half•alive, Tate McRae, and Bad Suns. With singles coming in 2024, the record is a departure from the band’s previous work, putting a pop spin on their signature horn-driven indie rock sound.

Blues Revue Magazine describes the Kelly Bell Band (KBB) as “Among the most genre-expanding acts on today’s blues scene. Who else can combine elements of hip-hop, funk, and blues-electrified here” Originally formed as the back-up band for rock and roll pioneer, Bo Diddley, KBB has been touring the world ever since entertaining fans in Japan, Spain, Italy, Greece, Cuba, Germany and more.

Kelly Bell Band

The band has won two prestigious Maryland Music Awards, including Best Blues Band. KBB has been voted Best Blues Band in the Mid Atlantic Region (12 years in a row) and was recently named Best Band by Baltimore Style Magazine. Their debut album, ‘Phat Blues Music’ remains one of the bestselling releases in Mid-Atlantic region history. In addition to Kelly’s role as front man, Bell is a regular on area radio shows, commercials, television news and several television and movie appearances.

Kelly Bell, known as ‘The Bluesman’, is joined by vocalist Rahsaan “Wordslave” Eldridge, Ryan Fowler and Eric Robinson (guitar), Frankie Hernandez (bass), John Robert Buell (drums) and Dane Paul Russell (harmonica).
