Two Day Workshop

Have you ever seen those large-scale armors in cosplay photos and wondered how they did it? It must be so expensive and heavy, right? Wrong! In this two session workshop, you will learn the very basics of foamsmithing, or the process of turning flat foam sheets into props and wearable pieces that are super lightweight. In this class for beginners, students will learn how to make a 2D mask with 3D elements.

Session #2: May 4
Both from 10am – 1pm

Teacher Bio: Natalie Beck is a published & award-winning costume artist, model, and photographer with over nine years’ experience. Specializing in original designs, foam smithing, thermoplastics, headdresses, and armor.

Supplies: All supplies included, but students are more than welcome to bring a notebook, pen, and pencil for sketching their ideas.
