Hosted by Dr. Erin Watley

September – December 2022 | Fridays at 7:30pm

Announcing the very first Black American Film Festival at the Carroll Arts Center! This free festival is a celebration of Black storytelling with a special focus on stories that provide a dynamic perspective of Black experiences. Curated and hosted by Dr. Erin Watley, Assoc. Professor in McDaniel College’s Communication & Cinema Department, these eight films highlight Black romance, fine arts, LGBTQIA+ history, liberation, fame, and much more.

Each film features a brief introduction to provide context and is followed by a facilitated discussion with Dr. Erin Watley.
