Children’s Theatre Troupe

 Twice per year, the Arts Council produces a fully-staged production featuring young people from the Carroll County area. These programs are broken down by age group to help young actors develop a better understanding of the theatre process and encourage a lifelong love of the performing arts. Spring 2026 Production

REGISTER
Musical Theatre Performance opportunity for actors, dancers, and singers in grades 3-5. 
Please see REGISTRATION PAGE for fully detailed information.
Auditions: 
  • Auditions will take place on Tuesday, February 17th 5:00-6:30.
  • Please prepare a 30 second song for this audition.
  • If you cannot attend auditions we will provide an alternate audition method.
Rehearsals: 
Rehearsals will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:00-6:30 February 24th through May 4th, with a break at the end of Marc/ beginning of April.
Performances:
Friday, May 15th @ 7 pm, Saturday, May 16th @ 3 pm, and @ 5 pm
Tuition:
  • A total tuition fee of $300 per actoris required for participation.
  • (Arts Council Members receive a 10% discount, use promo code MEMBER at checkout)
  • $50 of which is due upon registration.
  • Payment plans are available.
  • Registration fee and tuition are non-refundable.
  • Scholarships are available (for children from households with combined annual incomes under $35,000)
  • Scholarship forms are available on our website or at the box office

Grades 3-5

In the spring the Arts Center produces a show for elementary school-aged actors in grades 3-5.

Cast members are introduced to theatrical terminology and drama games while creating an artistic performance. The music and choreography are simple but fun with opportunities to showcase specific talents. This is a fundamental introduction to performance in a supportive and positive environment.

Grades 6-8

The fall production is for middle school-aged actors in grades 6-8.

Actors are challenged more in this age group through character development, and levels of music and choreography varying from simple to complex. This program is an ambitious in-depth experience with a high production level.

High School Students

High school students interested in theatre can apply for volunteer crew positions with the Children’s Theatre Troupe. A limited number of positions are available for each production. These positions are voluntary but do count for community service or could be applicable for school credit depending on the school. Application forms will be linked below when available.
