From the visual arts classes and craft workshops, to drama, we pride ourselves in having talented and enthusiastic teachers who set a creative and age appropriate atmosphere. Some classes are sponsored by the Arts Council, others are offered by independent teachers and organizations. All promise to stretch your imagination and inspire creativity.

Get ready for a creative adventure where art jumps off the page! Students will explore creative art projects that sparkle, spin, pop and glow. TEEN WORKSHOP: High School Portfolio Development

This comprehensive workshop is designed to help high school students prepare a strong, competitive portfolio for college art program applications. Students will receive guided instruction on selecting and refining artwork, developing cohesive bodies of work, and presenting their pieces professionally for submission.

Participants will learn what colleges and universities look for in an art portfolio, including technical skill, conceptual development, originality, and process documentation. The workshop will cover portfolio organization, photographing artwork, writing effective artist statements, and understanding digital submission platforms such as SlideRoom.

Young Artist Studio Camp is a hands-on, creativity-filled experience designed for young artists to explore a wide variety of materials, techniques, and artistic styles in a supportive studio environment. Campers will experiment with drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, and more while learning foundational art concepts such as color theory, texture, composition, and creative problem-solving.

Young Artist Studio Camp is a hands-on, creativity-filled experience designed for young artists to explore a wide variety of materials, techniques, and artistic styles in a supportive studio environment. Campers will experiment with drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, and more while learning foundational art concepts such as color theory, texture, composition, and creative problem-solving.

Class Registration

Classes fill quickly, so avoid disappointment by registering early. Classes must be cancelled if minimum enrollment is not met two weeks prior to class start. Payment in full is required to reserve your space. You will receive confirmation via email one week prior to the beginning of class. You may register and pay online, by phone, or in person at the Carroll Arts Center.

Cancellations & Refunds

If CCAC cancels a class due to insufficient enrollment, a full refund will be given. For cancellations made by the student, a refund may be granted minus a processing fee. Cancellations must be requested at least 14 days prior to the start of class. If a cancellation is requested after that, a refund may be granted at the discretion of CCAC staff. No refunds are given for missed classes or early withdrawal. If a class is cancelled due to weather, parents will be contacted by email and/or phone and a make-up class will be scheduled by the instructor.

The CCAC has full discretion over registration.

Discounts & Scholarships

All classes and camps offer a discount for current CCAC Members, Corporate Member employees and Arts Alliance Members. For more information on becoming a member, please visit our Membership Page.

Children under 18 who are in need of financial aid to enroll in a class, camp or children’s theatre troupe are eligible for assistance through the Tom Holder Memorial Scholarship Fund. Priority is given to students from households with combined income of under $75,000.
