Please join us at the beautiful, historic Arts Center as the Carroll County Arts Council celebrates an evening with Ernest Thompson, winner of an Academy Award, two Golden Globes, Writers Guild and Broadway Drama Guild Awards, and nominee for a Tony, an Emmy, and a British Academy Award.  Born in Vermont, Thompson spent a portion of his teenage years right on Main Street in Westminster.  His dozens of plays have been produced in thousands of theatres, both large and small, and his most enduring, On Golden Pond, has been translated into 30 languages, presented in more than 40 countries, and made into a major motion picture in 1981.

This free community event includes a screening of Thompson’s latest short film, The Constituent, followed by a talk-back.
