The Marcia L. Bogash Playwright Festival provides Maryland artists with an engaging environment for the development and promotion of new theatrical works in memory of one of Carroll County's most celebrated arts advocates.
Adult playwrights submit original short plays no longer than 15 minutes. Playwrights of selected works direct their works as staged readings on Saturday, May 30t and o in front of our live audience,
The process supports the selected playwrights to see their work come to life and have the option to get direct feedback from the audience.
These live performances are FREE and open to the public. Come enjoy emerging theatre talent while supporting and encouraging Carroll County's newest theatrical works. The Festival is FREE to attend and lots of fun for all. We hope you will join us!
About Marcia L. Bogash: A founding member of the Carroll Players theater group, Marcia L. Bogash was an avid supporter of the arts in Carroll County. She was also an active Carroll County Master Gardeners member and worked with the Charlotte Quest Nature Center in Manchester. This festival is dedicated in her memory to honor her impact on the Carroll County arts community.
