Barrier-Free is a non-profit, disability service organization that provides inclusive art, self-advocacy, and social programming to the community for adults with disabilities across Carroll County.
Barrier-Free offers two inclusive theater companies where neurodiverse adults ages 18+ come together to create original full-production musicals. Additional offerings include expressive arts classes covering a variety of themes including improvisational acting, dance, and more!
At Barrier-Free’s Life Skills & Social Studio in Downtown Sykesville, programs support the development of life skills and social skills for neurodiverse adults through an integrated-arts model with a focus on interpersonal interaction, authentic practice, and group collaboration.
A nonprofit club that promotes the dance form of clogging through education and participatory activities. Available for performances throughout the year. Classes for beginners are offered annually starting in October.
Carroll Singers is an adult choral group dedicated to building interest in and support for the performance of choral music in CC. Perform two annual concerts (winter and spring) and is open to anyone who is interested in performing choral music.
Part of the Freedom Area Recreation Council, the group provides a venue for student musicians in grades 6 – 12 to develop their talents while supporting non-profit organizations through charity benefit concerts.

The Eric Byrd Trio is a traditional Jazz Piano/Vocal Trio, performing arrangements of Jazz Standards and original compositions. They are national/international touring artists that continue to bring their unique and energetic sound to enthusiastic crowds.
