Scary-Tale Endings: Halloween Movie Week

In deep space, the crew of the commercial starship Nostromo is awakened from their cryo-sleep capsules halfway through their journey home to investigate a distress call from an alien vessel. The terror begins when the crew encounters a nest of eggs inside the alien ship. An organism from inside an egg leaps out and attaches itself to one of the crew, causing him to fall into a coma.

Talk Back with Carl Swanson
Stick around after the movie for a virtual talk back with film academic, Carl Swanson! Carl is a is Multi-Term Lecturer in Film and Media Studies at the University of Kansas. He holds a PhD in Film and Media Studies and has taught courses on film aesthetics, history, and theory, as well as horror cinema and genre films in the 1980s.  Dr. Swanson has published or presented on zombie narratives, slasher films, horror fandom, and horror film criticism. He lives in Kansas City, Missouri with his wife and two young daughters.
