Twitter watch party of the cult classic

Due to COVID-19 and theatre capacity concerns, our annual screening of The Rocky Horror Picture show will not go on this year. But we can still all watch together from home with our Rocky Horror Twitter Watch Party!

How the watch party works:

1. Follow the Arts Council on Twitter: @CarrollArtsCtr

2. Dust off your Rocky Horror DVD, rent it online, or borrow it from your local library.

3. Safely gather with other Rocky fans if you can and hit play at 8pm on Friday, October 30th.

4. Watch along with us on Twitter! We’ll be live tweeting the film with commentary, fun facts, and more. Tweet with us using the hashtags #ArtsCouncilPictureShow and #RockyHorrorWatchParty.

Participate in our Watch Party Contest!
Tweet a photo during the watch party of how you’re getting into the Rocky Horror spirit. You could be in costume, have your party hats and flashlights at the ready, or showing off a Rocky Horror-themed cocktail. The winner will get a Halloween Movie Night Bucket!
Tweet your photo using the above hashtags.
Winner must be able to pick up their prize from the Arts Center.

We’ll announce the winner on Twitter after the movie!

So grab your noisemakers, practice those Time Warp steps, and let’s watch together!

Film synopsis: When sweethearts Brad (Barry Bostwick) and Janet (Susan Sarandon) are stuck with a flat tire during a storm, they take refuge at the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry), a transvestite scientist. Full of wild characters and rocking musical numbers, this 1975 cult classic is a mainstay for the Halloween season.
