A Question of Relevance: Art Museums Now
Dr. Andaleeb Badiee Banta, Senior Curator and Department Head of Prints, Drawings & Photographs at The Baltimore Museum of Art, discusses the opportunities and challenges facing art museums to remain relevant in today’s social, intellectual, and political landscape.
Dr. Banta was formerly the curator of European and American art the Allen Memorial Art Museum at Oberlin College in Ohio. She was previously a curator at the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC and a curatorial assistant at the Morgan Library & Museum in New York. She has taught art history at Amherst College, Vassar College, Hunter College in the City University of New York, and McDaniel College.
